This massage offers increased circulation and sense of well-being and is considered a "quality of life" massage that is tailored to the specific needs of the client. Oncology Massage is a special type of massage developed specifically for cancer patients. Cancer patients have unique needs which must be addressed to make sure that a massage is beneficial to their health. This massage can also be performed in the comfort of your own home or facility. As a breast cancer survivor myself, this massage is tailored to the individual. Depending on the client, range of motion and edema may be a consideration. Although I am not a certified lymphedema specialist whereby I can bill insurance for service; I do have continuing education in this field and in cancer exercise. This is a combination of massage and range of motion. This is a form of cancer exercise whereby moving the built up fluid depending on post surgery information and many other details. The number of sessions required will be determined based on your evaluation. Multiple sessions will be discounted.
